Maritime Media Awards Certificate of Merit

Endurance22 website receives award from the Maritime Foundation for ‘best use of digital media’

The Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust is pleased to announce the Endurance22 website has received an award from the Maritime Foundation for ‘best use of digital media’.

Winners of the 2022 Maritime Media Awards were announced at a reception and lunch at London’s Union Jack Club on 22 May 2023, attended by a diverse representation of the maritime community. The Awards recognise journalists, authors, filmmakers and digital creators who have raised the greatest awareness of important maritime issues over the past year.

The Endurance22 website was awarded a Certificate of Merit for the category Babcock International First Sea Lord’s Award for Best Use of Digital Media. The Award was presented to Alex Wright of AW Design, who designed the website and branding for the Endurance22 expedition. The website was shortlisted not only for its usability and design but for the story that it tells and its contribution to educating global audiences about the history of the Endurance and the expedition that found her.
